As a Senior Digital Designer for Sun Life Financial, my responsibilities included developing the Group Benefits web pages on the corporate site, creating microsites for external clients, providing design consultation, and executing on digital marketing strategies. The work below includes some of the projects that I am allowed to show.

My role as designer was creating a printable calendar from a blank canvas, only being UNICEF photography was provided. I was given full creative freedom to create a calendar from scratch, including choice in specs. I chose to go with a 12×18 spreads, booklet style with a hole punch at the top. This was an end-to-end solution, which was finally handed off to UNICEF’s printers.

My role for Hyundai Mississauga included complete branding and design solutions that met the demands of each new promotional offer. Whether it be print or digital, it was my responsibility to ensure that brand standards were maintained to specs, while keeping designs in line with the Hyundai’s brand identity.

My role for the client included creating pixel-perfect designs of the various digital ads that were posted on various social media channels. Images were provided, but working on a blank canvas with BMW’s very strict style guide to keep the branding across all company assets aligned was the goal.

Batter’s up! As part of a screening process, I was requested to create a series of digital banners for the Toronto Blue Jays. Although the project wasn’t officially selected it was an awesome experience and deemed portfolio worthy.

Featured at Yonge/Dundas Square and the Toronto Autoshow, this Electric Vehicle charging station was a new global energy management solution for 100% electric vehicles. Partnering with Nissan Leaf and the already established brand standards of Schneider Electric, I was able to create a complete branding solution that suited the shows. All assets were custom created, including the art direction of the photoshoot.

Africa is a forgotten place, a forgotten world. Millions of people struggle to survive daily, yet the world turns a cold shoulder. All of the problems we as individuals face on a daily basis and as a society are so miniscule in comparison to this continent. Think about it this way, a child dies every three seconds due to hunger, disease and war. But what do we do? Do many people even know what goes on over there? We are lucky to have been raised in a first world country where these problems do not exist. We take for granted necessities like food, showers, clean water, all which are their luxuries. Our society is focused more on needless wants, and less on what we need to survive.

What Primus wanted was something fun, entertaining and memorable. With a team of skilled individuals, the Primus character was born. From start to finish, we raised and developed this character, giving him a unique style, personality and purpose. My part involved the creation of the blue LED displays of the eyes and icons .

The character was used on the company website, print materials and roughly 40 billboards across Ottawa and the Greater Toronto Area.
